ROLLING ROCK ESTATE
Ladue, MO
7,493 sq ft | Early-1900s Modern Estate Redesign (In Progress)
A complete reimagining of a historic-inspired estate, blending early-1900s architectural character with a refined, modern point of view. This whole-home transformation includes elevated ceiling heights, full kitchen and bath overhauls, and the strategic removal of walls to improve flow while maintaining privacy and intimacy.
The primary wing is being reconfigured to include an expanded bedroom layout, a 14' x 21' private dressing room, and a luxury walk-in wet room featuring a jetted tub, dual showers, and unlacquered brass fixtures, creating a spa-quality retreat within the home. On the opposite wing of the estate, a fully private mother-in-law suite establishes a separate residential zone for long-term comfort and autonomy.
A fully appointed butler’s pantry extends the functionality of the main kitchen with its own oven, sink, dishwasher, and refrigeration, designed for true estate-level living and effortless entertaining. The lower level is being reinvented as a full spa retreat, complete with a juice bar, steam room, sauna, gym/pilates room and full bath.
A 1,260 sq. ft. main level wing expands the home with floor-to-ceiling bookcases and rolling library ladder, a generous recreation space, a full bar, and a bay window with integrated bench seating. Outdoor living is elevated as well, with a newly designed pool, a large entertainment terrace, and a winding garden path that extends the architectural language of the home into the landscape.

5,000 sq ft | Warm California Modern Renovation (In Progress)
A grounded yet sun-drenched transformation of a 5,000 sq ft home, redesigned to embody a refined California lifestyle aesthetic; warm, textural, rooted, and highly intentional. The main level features soaring cathedral ceilings and dramatic atrium windows spanning from the lower level to the second story, creating an architectural lightwell that fills the home with natural radiance.
Rough-sawn cedar beams and a cedar plank dining room ceiling introduce organic structure and warmth, layered with curated wallpapers and elevated detailing. The kitchen and baths are undergoing a full redesign, including a newly imagined kitchen layout and the addition of a second upper-level bathroom to enhance function and flow. A double-height shiplapped wood-burning fireplace anchors the living space, extending from the main level to the second story with sculptural presence.
The private suite receives a complete luxury overhaul, including heated flooring and high-end finishes designed for both comfort and visual clarity. Newly refinished hardwood floors soften the entire home, while a A bright, window-lined sunroom overlooks an expansive, wooded yard—creating a seamless indoor–outdoor connection at the heart of the property.

Ridgley is an 8,140 sq ft estate completely reimagined with warm California luxury and refined rustic character. Improved architectural flow, vaulted ceilings, and exposed beams reestablish the home’s natural light and scale, creating a cohesive, lived-in environment rooted in comfort and elevated detail.
At the center of the home, a chef’s kitchen anchors the redesign with reclaimed beams, a grand Negresco granite island, custom cabinetry, and a dedicated beverage station, uniting performance with curated beauty. The private primary wing becomes a true retreat, featuring a pellet-stove fireplace, custom window seat, and spa-level bath.
Across all levels, guest suites, flexible living spaces, and a second kitchen extend usability and function. Every decision was made for long-term livability, warmth, and refined luxury, resulting in a home that feels intentional, layered, and quietly exceptional.

Erica Strader is the founder and principal designer of Erica Nicole Interiors, known for curating warm, layered interiors rooted in story and intention. With a deep appreciation for both refined detail and functional flow, her work reflects a quiet luxury that feels deeply personal.
"I’ve always been a designer at heart, first through dessert design, then event and wedding design, graphic design, and stationery. Eventually, I expanded into running my own renovation (design/build) company, gaining hands-on construction experience that most designers don’t have. That background means I don’t just dream up beautiful spaces; I know how to execute them with precision and intention, down to the smallest detail.
But my deepest inspiration comes from my own story. For much of my life, “home” felt temporary, I lived out of boxes, never fully unpacking. Those experiences shaped me into a designer who knows that home isn’t just about furniture or finishes. It’s about safety, belonging, and rootedness.
Today, I bring both artistry and technical expertise to every project, creating homes that are detailed, curated, and deeply personal. My goal is simple: to craft spaces where your soul can rest, your story can unfold, and you can finally feel: I belong here."
